Joy Hyobin Kwon

Hyobin Kwon is a New York–based artist specializing in Asian calligraphy and brush painting. A child prodigy, she began receiving major calligraphy awards in Korea from elementary school through college.

She later studied at Keimyung University and continued her artistic journey at the China Academy of Art, where she earned both a Master’s and Doctorate in Fine Art. Notably, she became the first foreign artist in China to receive a doctorate in bird-and-flower painting.

Her work blends traditional Chinese painting with refined calligraphic expression.
